    Tig Gen2 Parts Compared to Mk6/Mk7 GTI/R/Golf

    All companies like VW tend to use 'parts bin' components across their model range, I am trying to work out what parts from GTI/R/Golf are used in the Gen2 Tig particular the 162 Highline Rline which I have as I am intending to modify, add accessories etc.

    There is not much available listed as 'Gen2 Tiguan', as similar parts are used across the VW range, replacement parts for GTI/R should be able to be used in theory.

    List of parts I am interested in:

    * Front / Back Brakes - MK7 GTI?
    * Headlights - MK7 GTI/R?
    * Turbo Inlet (For High Flow Intake) - MK7 GTI?
    * Turbo Outlet (For Downpipe (AWD)) - MK7 R?
    * Side Mirrors - MK7 GTI/R?
    * Steering Wheel Paddles - MK7 GTI?
    * DSG Shifter - MK7 GTI/R?
    * Rear Wing - MK7 GTI/R?

    Feel free to add more to the list.

    Look at any other MQB platform car as a potential parts source. Not all bits will be swappable though.

    Will follow this topic with interest.

    For me, after 16 hours driving in my Tiguan the last two days, I'm very interested in sourcing replacement front seats. The seats in my Sportline aren't anywhere near as comfortable as those from my Mk6 GTI. I wonder what seats will fit at the correct position and give a GTI like feel? Mk7 GTI/R on the Tiguan base perhaps?

    Looks like the side mirrors with the blind spot monitoring is different to the Golfs. Accessories for the golf mirrors dont have a cutout for the blind spot light.

    Yeah they're different. I also have a Golf 7.5 in the garage (hers) so can quickly compare stuff if needed. Only a 1.4 though...
