Stop considering an SUV and buy a wagon. Lower to the ground and more sporty in general. Audi makes good wagons.

    Also consider Golf R wagon

I don’t need to as the CUPRA Ateca is a good solution for me.

Never been that big of a fan of wagons, had a couple of Subaru Legacy GTB (the decent looking ones) and found them a bit long to handle great. Audi A4 Avant S-Line (would need to be this at least for it to look at least sporty) starts at about $80k over here.

We don’t get the current Mk7.5 Golf R Wagon here and if we did based on the price for the standard Golf R you would be looking at least $70k plus any options. Not to mention I find the current Golf R really boring to look at, think the R Line looks better!

I got the CUPRA Ateca for under $60k with the bucket seats (normally a $2800 option) and it has the same engine as the Golf R, pretty decent handling but with more space. Icing on top is that I won’t see many of them driving around like I do with the Tiguan or Golf R now.

That is the exact reason I bought the Tiguan, our Golf GTI is getting to hard to get in and out of for me.

Thankfully I’m not quite there yet otherwise the bucket seats in the CUPRA would be a pain. This is my work car and just needed a bit more space to cart around gear when needed, the Golf was a bit too small but didn’t want to go to a wagon.
