    Any update on this moose?
I’ve thought mine possibly are abit low and always have been. Anything I can do prior to booking it in to get looked at so I know if I’m wasting my time or not beforehand?

is it just me that i feel that the headlights tend to readjust so it doesn't shine directly on the cars in front by angling it just below the other car's windscreen

Fairly certain that it’s just simply lateral automatic adjustments

The led headlights have active matrix high beam. It’s amazing. Creates localised ‘shadows’ around oncoming and cars you’re following, while maintaining high beam above and to both sides(if relevant) to the object they’re avoiding. Moves smooth and with a pretty fast ‘refresh rate’ too. I’m very impressed.

Not all cars have this, there are two different headlight assemblies and they both have different capabilities.

    Do non-highlines have ‘non-active’ leds?

I didn’t know that we had all the headlight options in aus. Overseas I did.

We had no headlight options up until recently, One assembly is capable of HBA - Headlight Beam Assist - and has a less powerful high beam and the other is capable of DLA - Dynamic Light Assist - which has a more powerful high beam and the moving pattern referred to above. I have no idea of which cars have what in the current line up.

This is not true . If you have highline which have full led headlights with motor dynamic cornering LED( someone call these headlights matrix but is not ,as Audi use matrix with no moving motor parts in) excluding Tiguan Sportline and Adventure which use also LED headlight but are not full led headlight . Highline Full LED it is DLA capable, however first generation come In AU by factory disabled for Australia. This is tricky but can be activated with special factory vw toll including coding and software, . New AU Tiguans sold as MY18.5 and MY19 should have factor enabled DLA functions .

I have a highline Allspace. The led lights both move(whole assembly, I’m assuming, like my last car) and selectively create various shapes/sizes shadow areas within any point of the beam pattern, that changes as needs dictate.

    What is this called?
