    Suspension

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has experienced their front suspension sounding like it's bottoming when going over speed humps at low speed ?.

Yes, I have found that too mainly with the front left. Mine is due to its 30K service so was going to get them to have a look at this while it is in there. Will let you know what they say.

Yes that's correct front left, dealer had a look told me they greased the bushes however I don't think you greased bushes. Not happy with their response .It's going g back in this Friday and will have them look at it again. If the noise is still there I will try to have independent people look at it.

Yes I have exactly the same on my 132 tsi from day i received.
I noticed when going over humps when front wheels touch the ground and bottom it you will very rough harsh bang sound , and sound like like they didn't removed spacers and hit on something inside and fill very wrong .But I removed front wheels and checked no factory spacers left, it looks something is wrong with tiguan2 suspension as acoss EU on forums there is lots of complain about faulty suspensions and replacement I Think some user from Poland reported here about this issue in Poland as massive serial fault.

Have you noticed also something unusual when doing full turn on steering wheel , like you hit the end on full turn but after is more to go and very fanny resistance back and feels like gap something is lose.
This all can be connected to ''click click '' clicking ticking Steering wheel noise from here other forum threads reported by users when parking which is already noted . So check also for this. My Dealer regarding this issue write in repair job as both front wheel bearings faulty, which is just no logic I had this issue sine car new and I never go off-road all sealed road mainly highway night time and nurse car as baby. This all can be concluded and connoted to factory specific brand suspension used in Tiguan 2 have some sort fault and don't work properly and can case damage also to wheels bearing - rod tie , driveshaft -and steering rack issue . Please report this if your car suspension have similar issue so we track this as potential recall .

I get exactly the same thing with my Passat Alltrack. It's only slow speeds over speed humps. Suspension works perfectly in normal or spirited driving situations and with different DCC settings.

It feels like the shocks go very hard not really bottoming out.

Yes it mostly get over slow speed, but It is not actually only over slow speed It is even worse on higher speed if you catch any hump or road pothole imperfection.
Some time on night I don't spot instantly speed hump going 30km say on 25km slow down hump and this will make ugly hard ''Bang landing even worse , it just suspension it locks and not dumping like it should be!
For test purpose I try simulate going over same street and same hump even faster with my old golf4 also golf V GT with very low profile 45/17 instead Tiguan2 very soft ultra comfort tyre Conti premium6 55/18 inch and I just don't feel any harsh bang landing, it is smooth as butter and those old timer cars are with stock factory suspension, one I 14 years old and one 9 years old!

So definitely Tiguan 2 has some serious issue with suspension !
IF we don't report and push VW Australia to resolve this I a guaranty that here will be many Sad Owners before end or just after 3 years expire whit full of complains posts about broken wheel bearings, Driveshaft's, rod ties, suspension..., and we all know how this can be painful costly to repair and all just because VW Tiguan 2 bad manufactures control design or manufactures part process!
But as usually you need to slow down when hum is detected you will hear hard Bang sound as soon front tyres land on first contact touch the ground. This is like some defect in shock like it does not engage or something inside in damping unit flow pressure value are stuck and it just not allow damper to work normally, like it is full extended locked position and oil not flow so in simple way there is like no dumping suspension but locked extended position.
I understand bit Germany and follow EU and DE forums, lots complain with exact Suspensions Tiguan 2 problems , most Owners notice this Hard suspension landing on Front Left side coming from. Some VW expert users saying that this is known issue on VW cars with Specific suspension brand used to fail and make Problems. I think VW is very well aware about this issues but after VW Diesel Gate scandal they on any way try to hide and put under carpet those problems as one more scandal and big recall can be last one for VW .

This is no reason we Owners suffer with bad product's designed VW new car and we should write and warn others so VW fix on time problems. Not instead giving instructions to VW Service Dealer to convince owners with problem cars such as this that is normal and '' only characteristics of VW cars'' when is obvious fault or bad design product !
