    Squeeking Noise

Just a heads up, I have had a squeeking noise in my car for a few days and initially thought it was the foam under the boot where all the tools are but that was not what was causing it. The roof box/roof liner had dropped out of it retaining clips and was moving around so it got thumped back into place on its clips and no more squeeking. How it came loose is one of life's little mysteries, it is one of the earliest cars so has had some time to work loose. This is the first thing to go wrong with it so I can't complain too much.

I'll give it a bit of a road test and see what happens but I reckon it is fixed but if not it definitely will go back for replacement. My son works in a multi franchise dealer location and VW is one of the brands they sell.

I had same issue from new. Sounded like sunnies rattling in roof box And driving me nuts. I noticed a pucker in the roof liner, gave the lid of the box a light Slap and the clips must’ve engaged. Problem solved.
