My 2018/19 Tiguan Rline has a water leak from the outside to the driver’s side footwell! Has anyone else had the same issue?
I didn’t have this with my Tiguan but I did with my CUPRA Ateca.
Took it back to the dealer, who were really good, and they traced the issue to a couple of spots of missing sealant over some welds in the front drivers side wheel arch. When the water drained from the windscreen it runs down the wheel arch so water was dripping inside and after a couple of days of heavy rain the carpet was quite wet.
Fixing was easy as they just had to put some more sealant over the missing spots but they did remove all the carpet to dry it out so it didn’t go mouldy and smell.
They took some photos of the issue and sent them to me to show what it was:
You can have a look and see if you can see anything similar on yours.
Hopefully this helps you with getting it sorted.

Had the same problem with Tiguan R-Line with sunroof. Blocked drain from sunroof drain. Water dripping down inside onto screen and side footwell.

Sunroof drain is the most common thing Take the spider trap out which traps dirt and blocks it
