    This maybe a dumb question

    - what is the best claybar to buy ?
    - when do you use it ?
    - how often should you use it ?

Have a bit of a cruise on YouTube and detailing forums. Here’s a start:

    How To: Use Detailing Clay
    Clay Bar Tips & Facts
GolfGTIforum.co.uk - An independent forum for Volkswagen Golf GTI enthusiasts.

Once you’re done, something here should work:
    Car Care Products /
    All Brands /
    Exterior /
    Clay Bars & Decon

It’s important to get the technique right. Light pressure only and renewing the exposed clay surface regularly. Yearly is probably enough but I’m sure some would do it more. I intended to do it yearly when I got the car but to be honest the older the car gets the less diligent I’ve become.

Yes it definitely possible to get your car coated make sure its a ceramic coat tho
You will need a paint correction done this will be in addition to the coating cost
Well worth doing imo my car always looks freshly waxed after just a hose off with the pressure wash
I only handwash bi monthly to remove grime around the wheels and nooks and crannies that you can't get the washer into
Plus it helps with fading that was a big part of my choice to coat as mine is red and fading is always a issue with that colour
