    Rear sensors inconsistent

So my driveway slopes down about 5%, it’s wnough that on this car the sensors. Or ally beep and go red, often slamming the brakes on- incorrectly. They’re too sensitive

Lately they’ve started a new game, where one day they don’t beep at all, the next they do their brake slam.

    Anyone else?

I’m quickly falling out of love with the ‘premium for the people’ quality on this car.

Yeah, I have a fairly steeply declining driveway and occasionally rear traffic alert will put the brakes on.
I've not had rear sensors before, so can't compare to anything else, but they do seem overly sensitive.

Having said that, as long as i reverse slowly into the garage, it's OK.
Alternately just deactivate it on the touchscreen when you select reverse.

The not working at all issue is my bigger concern...

Get someone to ride a bike past you or walk past you as your are reversing to see if it works then since that's what it's meant for.

I have a steep driveway too and it's 50/50 when it slams on the brakes, depending on the angle of my reversing as I exit the driveway.

I just press the park assist button to turn it off at the spot of the driveway that it is likely to slam on the brakes and happy days !

I literally mean, that when they don’t work, they are sensing nothing.

I understand that they react based on relative distance. The display also communicates what’s happening.

With mine, apart from not emergency braking 50% of the time out of the driveway, it's fine. I am getting images and the annoying beeping.

If you think something is wrong with yours, take it to the dealer.

That’s the issue I want to avoid. They’ve been very nice and pleasant, but they haven’t been competent yet(5visits)

5 visits for the same issue ? Did they confirm there is a fault or not ?

Time to find a new dealer if another one is close enough.

I don have this issue. Being intermittent will make it more difficult to resolve.
I assume the 5 visits to the dealer they have run diagnostics for any error codes but no luck?
