    Rear bumper protector

    Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend a rear bumper protector for the 2017 tiggy? I reckon pulling the stroller in and out of the car all the time is going to scratch the crap out of it.

Also, can anyone recommend a good carwash in Sydney? My local (Surry Hills) is a bit dodgy and i don't have the space to do it myself.

    Thanks in advance!

Go to fit my car website they have a fold out rubber/cloth mat which uses Velcro to attach to the carpet and you fold it out to cover the whole bumper not just the top part cost is about $60
I use mine for my golf stuff all the time nice piece of mind

My new one has the vw "Volkswagen Genuine Loading sill protection in stainless steel lookPart. no. 5G0061195" It looks great and I opted for it to protect it from bikes. So I'd recommend it - but I got it at the time of purchase, not sure the price.

I bought that one and was a bit disappointed it was a generic size and too narrow to adequately protect my bumper from our Mountain Buggy... I contacted Fit My Car to check and they only sell one size. Custom fit is not an option (despite website saying so). To their credit, they offered me a refund off the bat. I ended up keeping it as it fits my wife’s 2011 Focus quite well.
My only current solution is to ban my wife from loading the buggy in the Tig (it’s heavy and awkward).
Someone on this forum had a photo of a fold out mat from Kmart that looked quite decent and only about $10 or $20 from memory... but my local branch is perpetually out of stock..

We have K-mart one too and for $15 you can't go wrong, we also got a strip of clear paint protective film (xpel or 3M whatever you want) fitted along top and down face of rear bumper also as we are lugging heavy pram in and out most days. Highly recommend both

I've got the genuine VW boot sill protector. It's the clear one not silver.
You wouldn't even know it's there. Go with something subtle. The silver one stands out and looks tacky imo.

The other option is to get the 3M clear wrap for the boot area.

Hi, do you know the product number for the clear Tiguan boot sill protector? I can't see it in the Accessories brochure - only the silver one. Thanks.

Picked one up at Kmart today for $10. Comes as a 3pc set. For $10 cant go too wrong, multi-purpose mat I guess.
