    Protection of radiator grill

Are there any views on the best way to protect your grill from grasshoppers?
It is quite open to allow air flow but also vonerable to insect matter and difficult to apply fly wire due to the sensors, plus not wanting to restrict air. I try to keep the fins clean gently using an artists brush once wet.

    Many Thanks.

I use gutter guard but cable tie it on behind the grill so it's less obvious.

not a Tiguan but all these VWs are put together the same.

Great idea thanks Brad, good airflow, may be difficult to get behind the front structure on the Tig, but should be able to zip tie it on the outside for country trips. 😀

If it's like a Skoda, the grill is held in by tabs and just pops out with a little help from a plastic trim tool. As I said, VW group cars are all engineered the same way.

I just used the gutter guard because there was a roll of it on the shelf in the garage.
