    Peugeot 3008 v Tiguan

“The 3008 is more than adequate”...

    Not really a flying endorsement

I think because 3008 is 4K cheaper. But reading the review if they compared the non R line version, the clear recommendation would be Tiguan as the price would be identical.

I test drove a 3008 when we started looking for a new car. The interior looks great but the engine is rubbish. And although the interior looks good, it has some annoying compromises like the lack of dials and the tiny glovebox.

We drove a 132 Comfortline Tiguan in comparison and it had the better engine performance and although the interior is more conventional it felt more premium than the Peugeot with DAP and luxury pack (saving the extra pennies for a highline right now!)

Agree it’s hard to compare a car with 121kw/240Nm to something with 162kw/350Nm.

The Pug does 0-100 in 9.9sec compared to 162TSI in 6.5sec so it’s not a good comparison. Even the 110TSI has better performance than the 3008.

The Pug is impressive ,a friend just got one and loves it.

We've got a GT Line 3008, moved from a CX5, been very impressed with it. The Mrs wanted something a bit different and it certainly is, the engine is a step up over the wheezy 2 litre in the CX5 and refinement is way up there.
