Exclamation Pass on Dashboard slid down windscreen. What's the best way to retrieve it ?

I had a pass on my Dashboard and when I turned a corner, it slide just past the centre towards the steering wheel and slide down the Windscreen

WTF !!! Why isn't the gap between the Dashboard and Windscreen sealed

Can anyone provide assistance on the best way to retrieve it ?

You can buy a rubber strip on Ali Express to fill that gap in for about $5 Bit late now and reason why not to put stuff on a slippery dashboard. Get a bit of wire and the end and sharpen it and try to use that probably need a mirror as well to see it.

I can't see the Pass anymore. Appears to have slide down. Even taking photos I can't see anything

Does the gap between the glass and dashboard go to the Engine Bay ?

I stuck my hand up behind the gap under the steering wheel and I could not feel the pass (looks sealed under the Dash)

Try a vacuum cleaner with a narrow end on it easy to make one up and tape it on end of pipe

I have a Vac with a narrow nozzle on the end. Will try that tomorrow.

Tried with a VAC with a thin nozzle and no luck

Does the gap between the glass & dashboard go to the Engine Bay OR the the inside of the car (i.e. under steering wheel / under glove box)?

Logically it will be inside the cabin or would be bloody draughty if was open to the engine bay, wouldn't it. Its on the cabin side of the firewall

    Thanks mate, thought as much.

Can you get to behind the Dashboard (gap between Dashboard and Windscreen) from with under the Steering Wheel cavity OR if I drop down the Glove Box door?

get some sticky tape and tape it to the end of thin rigid cardboard. Slide it down the gap and go fishing.
