    The engage and release on the EHB on my car is undectable, push throtle and move off, brake to a stand still and EHB engages. What am I missing here? TTTT I don't even know which button as I have never used it.

    It sounds like you’re not missing anything! I’m a bit jealous. I’m sure I have a ‘Friday afternoon’ car in some areas of engine and driveline. So many small, but annoying ‘characteristics’ in my car.

    Yeah, I don’t use the auto hold feature, except for steep driveways or hills.
    But only ever engage the EHB manually, I never get any jolty releases on the EHB like the auto hold feature.

    Has anyone else had this recall actioned on their Tiguan? (diesel if it matters)
    Funny you mention that, I'd noticed mine slowly declining to the point where it fell below minimum and the in-dash alert went off. Took it in for the first service (VW Dealership) and was told that's normal in new cars, as there's sometimes 'airlock' or something from the factory. I'm sure that's a possibility, although I didn't believe that was my issue.

    Post service I noticed they'd topped my coolant up waaaaaay beyond the max level and sure enough, it's about half way between min and max, 4 months after the service.

    Mine's petrol - wonder if it's both models on this recall.

    Just noticed mine is broken....
    It's due for 2 year service so will get them to have a look along with the two recalls that are currently outstanding
    So far that's;
    * Sunroof LED lighting
    * rear suspension recall
    * cracked fuel filler
    * Rear spoiler recall
    * Towbar recall
    * broken park brake switch

    My roof rack bars are also cut through their rubber feet, so leaving marks on roof rails when I do them up...

    What I just tap the throttle and it disengages and car doesnt even move. Did it in garage this morning and car just sat there and gradually rolled forward.

    I never use auto hold as it does what you say and only use it on hills.. However none within 20km of where I live.

    The dealer wouldn't replace under warranty.
    Said VW Australia knocks them back all the time.
    Happy to do the replacement if I can convince VW AU that it's warranty and not driver abuse!!!
    I barely touch the button.
    It automatically comes on when I shift into Park and automatically releases when I am in Drive/Reverse and start to drive off.
    Left a message with VW AU Head Office on Friday afternoon.
    Lets see if they ring me back...

    Anyone else have a similar broken park brake button?
    And any success getting it replaced under warranty?

    As its cheap plastic, it is due to fail unlike a steel hand brake and therefore is the responsibility of VW

    What are VW quoting to do the repair ?

    If they don't replace under warranty, just go to State Consumer Affairs Tribunal where VW will do the repair before you attend. Cost ~ $70

    I have another SUV where the plastic park brake broke 12 months after the warranty ended

    At such a cheap price, silly VW are pushing back on the warranty repair. Are they easy to swap over ?
