    Paint Protection and Interior

Guys how does $1k sound for the following

Life Pro Leather & Vinyl Protection

    Titanium kinetic Surface coating

Both claim a 20 year warranty

My dealer has offered this and from my research this is a fairly good price but just not sure whether they do a good job with application.

It will be parked in the sun a bit so i need some form of protection. Curious at your thoughts on whether i should look elsewhere or jusy go with this?

I used opticoat pro+ on all our cars since 2016 and am happy with it. My 110tsi just got it done last week by Affinesse ( professional detailers always do a better job in they own workshop where they have sufficient artificial lightings) . Not a fan of interior protection. After owning a second hand E91 for 5 years and parking outside all the time I found the most wear and tear is the driver leather seat from me sliding in and out so now I put sheepskin seat cover on it.

    Yeah sounds good mate.

Just dubious that the dealer is organising this. However the price seems good.

Anyone heard of this type of protection?

The mark-up that the dealers put on these is massive. All they are going to be doing is applying a leather product to the interior that you wipe on with a cloth and doing the same with the exterior with minimal to no surface preparation.

Go to a professional detailer and you'll get a 10x better result for the same $.

Or spend a few hours yourself and you can do a similar result for around $100.

Also there's a bunch of names for the same/similar product and they do this so you can't cross shop it.

20 year warranty is a laugh if you look at the terms and conditions it probably has things in there saying you have to bring back for annual maintenance cleaning, etc which nobody does. Not worth the paper it's printed on.

Yeah Tigger73 is spot on anything esp paint protection from or though the dealer is nothing but a rip off i was quoted similar and shopped around found i could get it for $300
Also they won't be doing a paint correction before applying it either which you most defiantly need i had many swirls in my paint from the dealer predelivery
I went to a professional detailer and 1 year later am still stoked with the result car looks brand new and freshly waxed after a 15 min hand wash and mine sits in the sun/rain 24/7

Check this thread for lots more info on paint protection

I’ve used Jason at Super Fresh detailing. A few people have recommended Solar Style at Cooporoo.

I got a quote within your budget to do a white Tiguan by Super Fresh Detailing. Jason comes to you as well if that suits.
