Thread: Paint Protection and Interior

I'd prefer to have it darker as it would look much better. Decided to stay legal though, not interested in issues with insurance.

The factory tint is listed in the spec sheet

MY19 highline is 65% privacy glass if I remember correctly

For the Wolfsburg privacy glass tints are 10% for rear window and rear door.

I think 20% tints for the front windows would suit it nicely.

Pomponazzi 880XX is definitely worth the expense. I had mine done with paint correction at 2 months old and it still looks like a brand new freshly waxed auto.

i just wish I took a photo of the detailer’s ear-to-ear grin when he did the follow-up wash after two weeks! Big grin and muttering under his breath “It’s the best”. Snow foam and good quality micro-fibres are all you’ll need. Make sure to get the wheel faces and barrels done too... it makes cleaning the brake dust a breeze!

I’d recommend getting the multi-purpose cleaner too, expensive ($150 for a tiny bottle) but 2 squirts per panel every three months and the shine deepens beautifully. Bottle should last about 5 years, so it’s worth it (in my thinking anyway &#128580.

Is the expensive cleaner for the exterior paint protection?

Yes, it’s a rejuvenating spray and the detailer recommended I use it twice a year. I do it every 3 months because of OCD issues

They also recommend Bowen’s Nanolicious wash too for extra protection... you can get it at Supercheap.

I've been quoted just shy of a grand for a thing called Glass Coat for my new R wagon that gets delivered this week. It isn't garaged so is parked near birds etc. Is this a good price for what I'm getting or should I shop around?
