    Question Paddle Shifter Dimensions?

    Hi all,

Would anyone happen to have dimensions of the paddle shifters on the steering wheel of our mk2 tig's?

I'm planning on 3D printing paddle extensions - ideally clip on, so am in need of specific dimensions and am hoping to crowd-source.

I agree, save time and just buy them off eBay, search “MK7 Alloy Paddle Shift” (same wheel as the Golf)... Available in Black, Red, Silver & Blue for $35 Paddle Shifter Dimensions?

These attach either with 3M or Allen Key Paddle Shifter Dimensions?

Thanks for the suggestion folks, however I'm pretty keen on a DIY solution. Would like to toy around with a custom design.

I'll look into the mk7 paddles as a solution for now. Thanks Azza.

I get the diy thing. Print them because you can and they will be ‘better’.
You could use some cheapies from eBay for sizing and fitment guides.
Good luck and be sure to post some pics for us!

What advantage do the extensions have over the stock set up?

Easier to use the non gti/r paddles are very small and hard to use. The ones i used just fall to hand easily fingertip operation without reaching or moving your hand on the steering wheel
It's a worthwhile upgrade if you use them a lot which i do also they look pretty cool to which does not hurt
