Not on my MY17 162TSI.
Maybe on MY18 models?

G'day guys
Wondering if Australian Highline Tiguans with the LED Headlights come with Dynamic Light Assist (effectively auto dipping headlights)? It is specifically mentioned as such on the VW UK Tiguan R-Line spec's but not mentioned on VWA specs. Anyone with the Highline/R-line your clarification would be appreciated.

Ordered: 2017 build date Tiguan 162 TSI Highline with DAP in Tungsten Silver and rear luggage tray. ETA: late April / Early May. I did not have to wait. I took delivery on 11 March 2017.
High Beam Assist (HBA) auto dips the headlights
Dynamic Light Assist (DLA) does not dip the headlights, it changes the light pattern to prevent oncoming drivers being blinded by the lights on your car. This is done (I believe) by moving shutters in the headlights but someone may correct me on that.
Australian cars come with neither system activated and I think the jury is still out on whether DLA can be activated on Oz vehicles. We tried on mine and it would not accept the coding for some reason though I do have HBA activated but rarely use it.
Ah, that’s very disappointing! I do lots of country driving on B roads and it’s such a handy feature. I note that the Golf R has DLA so maybe that’s a sign 😂
HBA can actually be a PIA on B roads. I live in the bush and following a car at say 400 metres I have to manually dip to low beam because the HBA will not dip the lights hence why I don't use it much.
hello, here is the activation that I attach, some of you have already tried?
I can not post the photos !!!
