old tiguan wheels on new tiguan?

Hey there, just checking if the wheels from an old mk1 tiguan (16") would fit on a new'ish allspace tiguan?

I'm not sure of the wheel offsets and bolt spacing. I'm guessing it's unlikley, but would like a second set of wheels to put on some offroading tyres.

    Cheers, Delan

How far offroad are you planning on gong I would class my Tiguan as a SOFT roader rather than an OFF roader. Wouldnt take it too far off the bitumen

I think you'll find that the smallest size you can put on a gen2/MQB Tiguan/Allspace is 17" due to brake clearance on the fronts.

I would test-fit 16's first before purchasing them. You may be able to make some styles work.

Also the other thing to be aware of is that the tyre size on gen1 Tiguan is smaller than on gen2. The wheel diameter is larger and runs 1 size larger wheel/tyre combo in the gen2 so you'll be up for new tyres also.

Nothing serious obviously. The car sits fairly low, so ground clearance is an issue. Just not willing to take it on some gravel or rocks with the 20's.

I'll try to test fit the 16"s over Easter and report back here.
