While they may fit given same MQB platform I would have thought that they would have different compression rates. The tig would also be a heavier car for the spring rate too
Hi, I was wanting to clarify, is it just the Golf GTi R Mk7 springs that will fit the Tiguan (and lower slightly), or will the Golf GTi Mk7 (standard) springs also do the job?

Good point - thanks for the quick response..
I think there was a thread about use of golf coilovers in the Tig a couple years back. Think they were available for the golf but not the tig. Could be a different story now as the new Tig has been out for 6 years now.
Yes they fit.
I have mk7 Golf R springs in mine and it is fine.
I do have EMD Reverse Rake pads in the rear to make it a little higher as I do the occasional family trip loaded up.
Lots of talk about the spring rate, but I don't notice any issues. That being said, I don't have anything else to compare with
2019 Tiguan R-Line - IS38 Turbo - Spectuned - X-Force Downpipe - RS7 Spark Plugs - CTS Inlet Elbow - ECS Inlet Pipe - K&N Panel Filter - Golf R Muffler - APR Exhaust Controller - Superpro Rear Swaybar - Digital Dash Retrofitted - 034 Dogbone Mount - DBA T3 Rotors & Pads - Golf R Springs
I wonder if there’s a difference between Golf GTI and the ”R” springs…..
