These are really all the entry models in the range e.g the jetta is an entry Passat, the t-roc is an entry Tiguan and the polo is an entry golf.
To me, I think these AID's don't look as good as the currents as the fuel gauge etc are all on screen as opposed to being a hard gauge outside of the AID.
In saying that, it would be nice if they updated to a more customisable layout as there are many functions I don't use and others that I would like to but can't as they are on other screens.
At the moment, I have the oil temp showing in the centre as I have become used to the speed in the bottom right.. barely use maps in the AID as I use android auto and Waze but would love more variety in the dials etc

^ In current AID, press ”OK”-button in steering wheel to get dials smaller and map wider. Difference to new one is not so big.
Talked to a dealer today about a 132TSI allspace comfortline, and he said that the MY19 models have the DAP as standard also on the comfortline Is this true, or could I have misunderstood what he said, and that only some of the features of the DAP is now standard?
132TSI Tiguan Allspace
2017 Tiguan Sportline - Tigger73's 162TSI Sportline
2016 Scirocco R, stage 1, 205kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's Scirocco R Build
2013 Tiguan 155TSI, stage 1, 144kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's 155TSI Build
2011 Tiguan 125TSI, Stage 2+, 152kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's 125TSI Build
Just checked the MY19 brochure, included now is
Front Assist with City EB and Pedestrian Monitoring
Lane Assit with Adaptive Lane Guidance
Dynamic LED Headlights
Driver Fatigue Detection system
Not sure if Dynamic LED Headlight is the same as "LED headlights with dynamic cornering lights (for Dynamic Light Assist)"
Edit: the DAP is still there, but now specifies only these things;
Optional Driver Assistance package
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert, Emergency Assist & Traffic Jam Assist
So I guess it's $1500 for adaptive cruice control.

132TSI Tiguan Allspace
Spoke to a nice guy at VW. He confirmed the details in the Week 48 Bulletin
Confirmed for the MY19 Tiguan update
- Removal of v1 AID 12" display and replaced with v2 AID 10.2" display (as in the new VW Polo)
- Mentioned the 10.2" display has a higher resolution & can do full screen maps
- Removal of audio port (not that I would ever use this)

I love my AID but am already over the crappy VW maps and never use them. I wanna know when Android Auto and Car play will project into the AID and/or a decent HUD. Also wireless connectivity for both, with wireless charging.
Tech for all already exists, just not implemented and/or optioned here.
Hoping the MY21 has this feature when my lease is up!
