There's a compartment on the dash that the dynaudio speaker fits into. Was a passenger in an Allspace R-line with Sound and Vison earlier in the week.

Yes and Dynadio is the "premium" sound package. I'm sure it's better but also not sure if it's "the best" sound in a car - some sound officianados can chime in and give their 2c.

i would appreciate if we can now have Dynaudio as an option

I ordered for fully loaded 162tsi highline but based on information available on MY18.5, i guess i'll have to speak to my dealer when MY19 becomes official to see what it means for me.

I saw the Dynaudio on an Allspace. Would have to confirm if it’s an option also on the standard Tiguan. I don’t see why it couldn’t be but they are built in different factories.

I believe this is the reason VW Australia has not been telling anyone what the MY19 update includes.
If they did, many people would not but the remaining MY18 models.

    From the dealer

    MY19 VW Tiguan 162TSI

MY19 Tiguan has been upgraded 'as standard' with the addition of:

    • Driver Assistance Package (DAP) - (excluding the Active Info Display)
    • Adaptive Chassis Control
    • 19” alloys

    Additional Tiguan (NWB) MY19 specification:

    • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)
    • Lane Assist with Adaptive Lane Guidance
    • Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist
    • Side Assist with Rear Traffic Alert
    • Electrically adjustable passenger seat with memory
    • 19” Auckland Alloy wheels - previously 18’s on MY19
    • Adaptive Chassis Control

Wow, good work VW. I assume that DAP doesn't come with Active info display, given past posts??
Love the addition of the Electric pax seat! Thx FastMitch

Well that's a lot more high-end features included as standard, especially the adaptive chassis control! My guess is that they are going to increase the base price of the Highline?? ...won't be much left in R-Line pack, aside from cosmetic enhancements, unless they add something new. I really want the "active info display" from the DAP, so I'm hoping that they have not pushed up the base and pack prices.

I've already ordered one with DAP that is supposedly on a ship, so I'm not keen on having to re-negotiate everything.

This makes sense - there were a lot of people wanting the Highline + DAP, but the wait time was long as dealers weren't bringing in much stock of this config - most people were going fully loaded.

Making the base config inclusive of DAP means people should be able to grab a standard Highline more easily.

Except that the big selling point for DAP, Active Info Display, is not included as standard in MY19, it's reportedly now part of the "Sound & Vision" pack.

That's correct. The Active Info Display is not included as standard but comes with the Sound and Vision Pack
