Does anyone know if the new AID v2 (as on the new Polo) allows to display Android Maps on the AID ?

    Sorry if hijacking a bit.

Is there a comparison somewhere that lists the differences between the 2017 build and the 2018? I noticed the infotainment system is different, but what else?

There痴 difference in build dates is going effect your resale value.

The MY is what determines the specs. You can get a 2017 build MY18 car and a 2018 build MY18 car. Both same spec but depreciation will hit the 2017 build harder. Just make sure you take that into account when negotiating a price as it痴 already a 1 year old car and will soon be considered a 2 year old car in terms of resale value.

I知 surprised that there痴 still 2017 build stock around. Any dealer that has one of these cars is going to be super keen to shift it.

    Hmm... I picked up a MY17 this weekend for 50k - 162tsi, R-line, and DAP.

They have it down as VW executive driven vehicle, clocked at 1500km only with 5 years manufacture warranty...

Was it a sounds choice, or have I make a horrible mistake

Looks like a demo car so it痴 a great buy for $50k! I would be more worried if it was brand new MY17. You do need to factor in it痴 a 2 yr old car so the depreciation looks right for the price.

I think it痴 a fair price.

Most of the 2017 build cars should be on as demos now to clear the stock.

5 years warranty is a decent bonus. I think that痴 worth $2-3k. Plus that値l be a full factory warranty not just an aftermarket insurance policy with limits and exclusions.

I知 in the rather unique position of previously owning a MY18.5 162 R-line which was written off, and I知 now the proud owner of an MY19 162. Key differences from my perspective:
-electric front passengers seat (a godsend)
-In sport mode the steering weight is far less heavy, which I appreciate
-the maximum hands off steering wheel time for lane keep assist appears to have decreased from 45s to 30s (bummer!)
-it might just be me but I reckon the adaptive dampers are more effective/softer than before - seems much more pleasant in its harshest sport mode.

I think these are probably just tweaks to the settings which may be available via adaption in VCDS.

I'm pretty sure they would be able to be set, however just would need to find out which setting to use.
