With most of the DAP Pack becoming standard in the Tiguan Highline, does that mean VW is becoming more competitve or are they about to increase the price of the MY19 Tiguan Highline ?
The only thing that looks new to me is the "Electrically adjustable passenger seat with memory" in the standard list
Now if only they would add wireless charging I would have nothing left on my wish list
Question is will the MY19 Highline + Sound & Vision + Rline be more expensive than the MY18 Highline + DAP + Rline ??
Main difference I see between the 2 is better sounds system and electric passenger seat
Generally VW will continue to load up features into the car each year and keep pricing around the same.
I think they realise that for cars over $50k they really should have the driver assist features as standard. Particularly when other manufacturers put them into sub $30k cars as standard equipment.
2017 Tiguan Sportline - Tigger73's 162TSI Sportline
2016 Scirocco R, stage 1, 205kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's Scirocco R Build
2013 Tiguan 155TSI, stage 1, 144kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's 155TSI Build
2011 Tiguan 125TSI, Stage 2+, 152kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's 125TSI Build
Is it likely that a June build will be MY19 or still MY18.5?
Good to know
My thought as well. They say you can order a Highline + DAP + Rline and recieve an MY19
But this does not make sense as the 'Active Info Display' is only in the Sound & Vision pack
Good to know
Question is what will be left in the R-line pack if the adaptive suspension is provided as standard on the Highline ?
This sounds like a mess. VW should just publish the MY19 specs so people can be clear on what they are getting
Maybe the MY19 Tiguan will match the options list as per the Allspace https://www.volkswagen.com.au/conten...eet_June18.pdf

Some good stuff included as standard if it is MY19. However, it’s going to be a pain having to renegotiate in order to get Active Info Display and 360 camera view. For example, when you say “I ordered DAP”, dealer will likely say “Yes, DAP is now included as standard with Highline.”, and so on. DAP was a $2k package, whereas SAV is likely to be $3k.
The colours are also somewhat different going by Allspace - the colour you ordered based on MY18.5 doesn’t exist in MY19
I spoke to another dealer today and they won't give any MY19 prices. Not even an indicative price.
What they say is they are happy to place an order for an MY19 and reserve the delivery date, take your deposit and when they know the price, if I don't like the price I can cancel the order and get my deposit back.
Does not sound right as the new sales car contracts have clauses that do not allow a buyer to cancel without a penalty.
Seems like VW have been dodgy about all this so as to not stop sales of existing MY18.5 Tiguans.
