I don't want to get too political but there what overhypes, over exaggerated unproven theoretical science thar impacts political policies gets us. It is only the beginning and the decline of the petrol sports car making way for green tech.

I got our highline so I'm not really fussed what they do. I'm hoping in 5 years time when it's new car time we green electric cars will go the distance and be inexpensive to buy.

Hmmm. Taking forever for new specs to release. Grand plan was to swoop in and grab a fully loaded Tig just at EOFY but wanted to know what I would be getting even if it was to be MY19. With talk of 180kw in Golf that almost certainly won't make it into MY19, and of 5 yr warranty - see Volkswagen Australia “looking hard” at five-year warranty - motoring.com.au I will sit back for a while. Might as well wait for MY19.5 and 2019 Compliance plate as delivery would probably be close to end of year anyway and maybe some of the previously mentioned stuff. In the meantime will look for a 2017 Q5 petrol which should be close on price but a bit down on equipment but more polished. VW need to get their act together - just wonder why we here dip out on stuff like HUD, QI charging and biturbo diesel as in other markets. I guess they figure with a long que they can treat us like mugs and will sell all they can get without that stuff. $60K burning a hole in my pocket but last two new buys have left me disappointed with improved spec not long after the buy.....I know this will always happen.

I have just taken off the extended 2 year warranty from my quote as it seems like a scam seeing as we are all covered for at least 5 years under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL)

We are almost mid July. How can VW still not have posted the MY19 specs ??

MY19 specs are usually not out "officially" until September when the MY19 spec cars start hitting the showrooms. And will also depend on how much MY18.5 spec they still have in stock as to whether it's early or late Sept. VW won't want a lot of MY18.5 spec cars sitting in holding yards as everyone will want the MY19 spec as soon as it becomes available.

Though if you're ordering one now it'll be MY19 spec which is why the dealers know about it. Just takes a while for brochures to be printed and stock to hit the dealers....

I got email from VW today. Allspace specs released. I see spec download lists the spec as MY18 release date June 2018. From a quick look not much different from MY18.5 SWB Tig.

Yes correct they're similar spec though the Adaptive Cruise Control and some of the other Driver Assistance Pack options are now going to be standard. The option will be the "Sound and Vision" pack which includes Dynaudio and the active info display (fancy dash).

I did notice the the traction control button is back where it should be in the allspace..

It annoys me how hard it is to turn off on the 18.5

That is all. No 110TSI Trendline or Comfortline and no 110TDI/140TDI diesel variants at all.

Other than that there's a few chrome trim changes and front and rear manoeuvre braking (as opposed to rear braking only in MY18 )
Broker spoke to a VW Dealer today for a New MY19 Tiguan and supposedly the major change is the "DAP Driver Assistance Package" will be offered as 'standard' on all new MY19 Highlines.

Unless there is a price increase of $2K on the MY19 Highline, I will not be happy if this is the case as I have ordered an MY18.5

The ACC and associated driver aids will be standard equipment for Highline.

The active info display and Dynaudio are options on a “Sound and Vision” pack.

Is the Dynaudio a better sound system ?

How much will the "Sound and Vision" pack cost ?
