Absolutey name and shame! Not only the dealership but also the individuals you were dealing with!

I feel your pain. Many years ago I had a similar experience buying a new Jeep. They had installed a gps unit at the dealership on top of the dash. Unfortunately it was installed in front of the front parking sensor display. I took it back and they moved it. But left a massive hole in the dash. Several times it went back to get it fixed. There was overspray dash paint all over my chrome heater controls and elsewhere. Furious, I wrote an email along with photos to head office. To my surprise I had a call from someone there with 1000 apologies and they agreed to replace the entire dash and other effected areas. After that experience I’ve never gone back to that dealership.

i hope you get it sorted, just keep pushing as you won’t be happy until it’s completely sorted.

Shame to read about your experience.
It's never nice to be let down, especially when you have something of this value that you have been waiting for

I’ve had my Tiguan for just over three weeks now.

    Things I love.
The room - for the size this is seriously a roomy ride. No one in our family is under 5’8” and we can all take trips comfortably.
Boot space - bigger than expected
Drives like a dream in any mode
    Carplay is seamless
love that it automatically switches between two phones without having to disconnect and reconnect thes second one

    Things annoying me (mostly minor)
The windscreen wipers are crap - minor annoyance and was the same with our Golfs, I would prefer not to have the 5cm smear across my direct view while driving
Collision avoidance system - has gone off while driving in a straight road with nothing oncoming. Swear I got whiplash when it suddenly braked. Same with the parking manoeuvre braking. I park in some tight spots. Same spots I’ve been parking larger vehicles in, so I know the clearance. Blooding avoidance thing will brake for no reason. Have had to turn it completely off.
The ‘swing your foot under the bumper to release the boot’. It’s worked exactly once, Feel like an idiot standing there kicking at my bumper with my hands full.

Like Vietbargin, my original dealer has gone silent with answering any issues. And I was pretty honest with the survey they sent this week in regards to their after sales service.

Well make sure when you get your customer satisfaction survey that you mark the accordingly.

VW take these surveys pretty seriously so feedback does get looked at and dealers have targets in terms of customer satisfaction.

Do they email the surveys? I haven't received any request to do so, I have a feeling that they know not to talk to me haha

There's a market survey company that does this which is independent of the dealer and/or VW. Though the feedback certainly does get back and the dealers get graded on it.

Our survey only arrived on Thursday last week and we’ve had the car almost a month now. Company the survey came from was Potentiate.

Slightly a waste of time as we bought via a lease company so really could only answer about 1/2 the survey. But I did make mention of how the delivery dealer was quick to deliver but has declined to answer any further questions about the car.

ETA: the delivery guy wasn’t subtle about asking me to give him a good rating either, he said any scores 8 and under on the scale were considered a fail and they would be raked over the coals.
