Production for the MY18.5 started at week 45 builds which would mean around the second week of November unfortunately.

What you have to do with (time and experience) is try to (detect) catch a car that is still moving at the lights ahead.
HOWEVER One thing you have to be careful of is when ACC i slowing you down by following the (guide) moving car infront (approaching the traffic lights), lets say you are almost at the lights with some traffic build up and you notice the lane to your left or right has fewer cars so decide to move into another lane away from the ACC "guide" car, at this point as soon as ACC detects that the moving guide car is no longer in sight it will immediately hit the gas to accelerate UNLESS it detects another moving car in the lane you have moved over to. This is valid if you do not push the brakes at any time and depend on ACC. This may or may not be normal ACC operation but this is how it operates currently, we just need to be aware of the clause "Within The Limits Of The System."
My experience so far is that when your week and a half old Tiguan gets hit by a driver who decides to not give way it gets expensive quick and your wife is very upset about her new car being damaged. She's one of those people who name their cars - she's decided this one will be named 'Smashy'
Impact was right on the left-rear wheel. It needs a new wheel and there's some damage to the door, quarter panel and bumper/trim. Wheel has been given a bit of negative camber with the top being pushed in a little so there's at least a bent control arm/strut in there. They're going to xray the brake disc to look for cracks. I'm hoping there hasn't been any damage to the axle or diff that shows itself over the longer term.
It's with Amex Autobody in Melbourne's north-east who I've heard good things about and we're up to around $10k in repair bill so far. Thank god for insurance!
Yikes. Sorry to hear that your ride is no longer pristine but hopefully you'll get it back soon. As you say...thank god for insurance!

I have found that ACC is a great assistant but you cannot rely on it too much on urban roads or even busy expressways.
Great for trickling along in stop start traffic at low speeds but not very good at higher speeds when its busy.
Love it on open freeways out of town, but still only there to reduce fatigue etc.
Same applies to lane guidence.
Still wanders around the lane for me.
Doesn't want to stick to the middle of the lane.

Congratulations on the new car Dan. My local dealer doesn’t have a sportline yet so I haven’t driven one. It looks like a great package but my one reservation centres around the ride comfort with the 20” wheels. I know it has adaptive chassis control which will help. What's your view on the ride comfort so far? Thanks
