Does anyone else’s drivers side wiper either slightly hit the edge of the screen or the moulding, either that or when it’s flicking back the other way the bottom of the blade possibly rolls and makes a flap noise? Mine does it and has since day 1 and I kind of can’t work out what’s causing exactly causing the noise, seems to only be when they are going flat out though.

Yes, mine does that. It is define the drivers side wiper hitting the plastic mouldings the edge of the windscreen on the drivers side A pillar. I have to take my car into the dealer in the next week or so to get an update done for the TPMS and was going to ask them to have a look at this at the same time as it bugs me.

Yes that happened to me also where the windscreen wiper started flapping against the windscreen. I wasn't sure what caused it though. keep us posted as to whether VW are able to do anything about it.

Seems a bit random that there’s just two hole there though, wonder how that got through design..

They are screw holes...caps would have been nice, but perhaps water run-off or airflow for vapour was a design consideration.

They stand out a lot when you open the hatch, Best to forget about it and not look at them.

Can anyone advise the cosmetic differences between MY17 and MY18? Also, anyone with MY18s what was your 'build' date and are your plates listed as '2018' ones when you do a registration lookup?

Think I'm being shafted on my order...

I had the same problem on my Golf after I cleaned the wiper blades. The service guy told me not to do that. Apparently it wipes off some anti-friction substance, but can't remember the details - this was a few years ago.
