I don't think the cars in AU or NZ have the Automatic High Beam option enabled but can be turned on by coding (see the first post here regarding Light Assist: A guide to enable EU specific features for AU Spec Tiguans). I know I don't have this option under the Car Setup menu but planning to enable it once I can confirm the coding changes required.
With regards to the automatic braking when reversing I can confirm it definitely works on my car. To get in to my carport I have to reverse in on an odd angle and get as close as possible to the opening on the right hand side of the car. Normally I just get a lot of beeping but 2 occasions now the car has decided that I was getting a bit too close and slammed on the brakes for me. The first time it gave me quite a fright but now I know what it is it may seem a little annoying since I know I wasn't actually going to hit the wall but I can see how it could save my ass when backing out of a car park and someone impatiently drives past.
