Will be able to post some pictures of the Habenero on Friday! The colour was my wife's choice (her car afterall) but I think it looked great when I saw in a comfortline model at the dealers a week or so ago. Don't expect we will see many on the road but with the additional 'jewelry' on highline I think it will be pretty smart.

Anyone going for the 2 year extended warranty? You think it's worth going ahead with? Was told it cost an additional 2k. Any thoughts on the extended factory warranty ?
Tiguan 162tsi rline (May 2017) - NSW, Northern Beaches
Don't waste your money. This is just a car dealer con to sucker you into servicing exclusive with them, and they charge you $2K for the privilege. It's a rort , plain and simple.
You actually get better warranty protection from your statutory rights under the trade practices act. And it's free!
Mate, here's some food for thought.
Go to the 24:00 minute mark of this video. It deals specifically with extended warranties. The rest of the video is 20 important points to save you money when you buy a new car, all the tricks the dealers use and how to combat them. I recommend watching the whole video, but if you're time poor then at least watch it from the 24:00 minute mark as it exposes the extended warranty rort we've been discussing.
