I saw a white TDI R-Line today in North Ryde. Looked lovely. I pointed it out to the colleagues in my car and mentioned it was the car I was waiting on (although mine will be TSI) and they were all very impressed.

Good news our Tiguan has arrived at the dealer in Geelong yesterday. Only issue I'm in LA.
This car is ex the group off the Don Juan so REXman and REGS12 (and possibly others) will get their cars soon now We have arranged for delivery on the 27/1 almost to the day we forecast back on August 30 when it was ordered.
Will post some pics as it will likely be among the first high line in Habanero on this forum. Will probably need to start writing our own reviews given that no one from the mags or websites appears to be.

Arriving April 17 Audi S3 sedan, Panther black, S-tronic, PP2, pano, matrix lights, assistance pack, 40:20:40 seats, mirror pack, light inlays
Tiguan: Tiguan 162TSI, DAP and pano in Habanero
Keen to see the personal reviews anyway.
Maybe pop over to https://practicalmotoring.com.au/car...-32tsi-review/ and ask for a review of the 162TSI - it might give them some more motivation to get their hands on one. The response I got was that they would review it in a few months when they come into the country - but we know there are already 162TSIs here.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'd definitely be optioning the Driver Assist Pack, so would have ACC anyway, but, in some brands, ACC doesn't appear to necessarily mean it will use braking in the normal cruise scenario. My wife recently test drove a Citroen with ACC that would happily apply braking to adjust speed downhill if it was locked on to a slower vehicle ahead, but would not do so if just cruising downhill, thus over-running the target speed by a big margin!

A couple of quick pics of my Highline 162TSI picked up today. I took it for a quick spin, but not enough time to form much of an opinion. Certainly didn't floor me with its power. Hopefully this will change when I have a chance for a decent drive on the weekend.

Hi, drove from Canberra to Sydney and back over the weekend. The cruse (ours is the ACC) does indeed apply the brakes both when using speed limited and ACC. It apples it even when a bloody strong tail wind managed to push it past the set speed, the speedo noted it went to 111 and there was a small deceleration and back to 110. It also drove me crazy when @&&ing people would pull in between me and the car in front of me, and I mean really close to me. At least the ACC doesn't slam on the brakes it gently slowed a little to open the gap up.
Driving to Sydney the ACC was really bugging me till I worked it out, Once I got used to the ACC it was brilliant. The drive home was really quite effortless.
Have to also say the auto-hold both for reverse and drive was bloody brilliant when parking and driving around Coogee.
