The user manual talks about displaying media info and traffic sign recognition in the HUD. But of course it’s disabled in Australia. When I’ve got more time I will attempt to code this into the HUD. It amazes me that all the hardware is there but they decided to have it turned off by default in Australia. Must be trying to protect their Audi brand here.

I’ve been trying that, but I can’t seem to get that code for bit 10 (0F) shown in the long code.

The way I understand it and please correct me if I am wrong it is only the very late cars that can have DLA turned on and I have been there and tried it on mine or rather Kamold has. This is due to the type of headlight fitted as there are two LED headlight assemblies. That a Wolfsburg can be coded does not surprise me at all in fact I would be surprised if it couldn't be. Also DLA means a lot of different things to a lot of people in VW land as it has been used over the years for first Xenons then more advanced Xenons and finally two different LED assemblies.

Aren't the Wolfie lights the same as the R-line that rolled off the line at the same time?

Interesting POV. So you're saying that the newest full LED headlight units have 2 versions - even though they look identical? Which means the 'shutter' functionality could be missing is the earlier Highlines.

From some testing that a friend of mine has done with Arteon and Passat, the only way to gain factory DLA functionality is by applying the correct parameter set to the 4b or 55 control module.
With just coding the function is not per factory spec and performance is not as it should be.
DLA is not the same as High Beam Assist (fla in German) as it also masks oncoming vehicle rather than just controlling dipped and high beam with instructions from the front facing camera.

I haven't seen a parameter set for Tiguan but I can look into it. There are parameter sets for Passat and Arteon. Arteon can also enable predictive light assist which uses map data to turn the headlight before the wheel is turned.
Tiguan DLA MIGHT work with the Arteon parameter set, but again I haven't tested it.

Applying parameter set is necessary for DLA.

It works but it works unsafely without the proper parameters. It has delays in response, not blocking enough area issues and the laggy responses following the front car.

That is what I concluded in the limited tests and daily uses.

No, the earlier cars and I don't know when it changed had what might be called a dumb LED while at the same time production for cars in the UK for example had the active headlights and they are both different and distinctive headlight assemblies.

I had another go to see if DLA would work. Unfortunately it didn't, reintroduced an error on the driver's display. Was unable to do basic headlight settings in Module 4B, reported "(22) Function cancelled, marginal conditions have not been meet". I was allowed to do the basic headlight settings and confirmation in Module 9 but not 22.

In the end reverted the changes back for simple Light assist (High beam assist) and have no more errors. Able to do basic headlight settings in Module 4B.

Reading the PDF I linked to what light assemblies has your car got?
