Hi all, newbie here only just intro'd myself.
I had a go with the vcds tweaks on the sticky wanted to share my experience.
As everyone says take a full map back up of stock, I didnt do this and am regretting it as I went through a bunch of the updates and don't have a baseline to fall back on. It only takes 10min .. DO IT.
Finally log all changes you make even if you have a baseline. Again makes life easier to go back to what it was.
As for the acutal coding experience, pretty much as explained in the sticky. Some options in German but just used google to work out which to select.
My car already had the Dynamic light assist, yet this dumbo just followed the sticky verbatim top down and coded in Light assist .. which is a step backwards. Insert above note and my regret above of not taking a baseline. Anyway luckily the car was smart enough to not take my stupid commands (although vcds didnt throw errors and accepted all coding) so I still have Dynamic light assist (but i havent tested it in real life, however start up dance still appears and when I checked my full map/scan codes dump they match the Dynamic light assist settings).
The 2019 Allspace seems to have alot of stuff the shorty needed coding as standard so please check before you do as I did and try to "code" it. E.g. DLA as above, 3D camera, undertaking etc of course the other explanation is the previous owner coded it before I took the keys.
Finally I think the only useful contribution I have is when I followed this, for the rear DRL's -
In my case I didn't have the option Tagfahrlicht as per the instructions. But had something called "Daytime running lamps" as well as "Daytime running lights" - use the LAMPS option and it worked.Central Electronic (09) - Adaptation - Leuchte16BLK SLB35BLK SL KC9 - Lichtfunktion C 16 - Change to Tagfahrlicht (Original Value: nicht aktiv)

Also if your vcds is old, can use OBD Coding - Online Tool to do long coding if the helper doesnt have the bits defined.
Hopefully that helps someone.

Hi all,
Firstly thanks for this topic, I had a go at the mods from the sticky and wanted to share a few notes on my vcds experience.
As everyone says take a full map back up of stock, I didnt do this and am regretting it as i went through a bunch of the updates and dont have a baseline to fall back on. It only takes 10min .. do it.

As for the actual coding experience, pretty much as scripted in the sticky.
My car already had the Dynamic light assist, yet this dumbo just followed the sticky verbatim top down and coded in Light assist .. which is a step backwards. Insert above note and my regret above of not taking a baseline. Anyway luckily the car was smart enough to not take my stupid commands (although vcds didnt throw errors and accepted all coding) so I still have Dynamic light assist (but I haven't tested it in real life, however start up dance still appears and when I check my full map/scan codes they match the Dynamic light assist settings).

Finally I think the only useful contribution I have is when I followed this to enable rear DRL's -

Trying to add the performance monitor to a MY19 Tiguan Allspace.
I believe it needs some sort of software update to the multimedia interface before being able to activate with OBDeleven.
Has anyone done this or have any information on the software update required?
Thanks

Believe you need a SWaP code for this function to fully work. I don’t believe it’s something you can turn on through coding alone.

Not sure the reason you want it, but it's useless in my opinion.
Boost pressure is atmospheric + turbo, so it will tell you you're pushing 35psi etc. it wont tell you what a traditional mechanical boost gauge will tell you, and the "kW" will max out at the factory rating, so a 162tsi will always max out at 162kW, no matter what performance mods
have been done. Even those with a stage 1 tune will max out at 162 even though it's pushing way over.
Have a 2023 Tiguan, dynamic turning lights and blindspot alert not installed. Or so the dealer service tells me. Can VCDS turn these functions on? Or does there need to be more hardware installed?
By the way I'm very new to VCDS. Used to be able to read assembler longtime ago and program hardware.
I have a monochrome 23 Tiguan which has no blind spot alert. I was told the hardware is physically missing by the dealer.
