1000km check if free, 1st service is not free at VW.

Yeah mine was at 3000km, I reported a creek when driving up driveways (only when turn to the right). They went to town with an impact wrench and noise gone.

1st service, you could bring your own oil (even the same oil as what the car takes) and own OEM filter and save money. They will deduct the RRP price off the total service cost.

This is what the service manager at VW Liverpool (NSW) said to me when I asked.

    Mk2 Tiguan Tuning

Got myself a APR Stage 1 for Christmas. I can tell the difference from the jump, especially the acceleration on S mode.

I’m loving it, not sure about the wife though!

Congrats mate! Have you tinkered with anything else ? Or just the ECU tune for now?

Thanks mate, just the ECU tune for now. I’m also considering a res delete to get some dsg farts happening. Although I’m still not sure if that’ll deliver the goods based on other people’s feedback.

    Any suggestions?

Res delete will give a little bit but if you want to get good farts you'll have to change out the rear muffler. Just be careful with this one as you can introduce unwanted noise as others have found out changing the rear muffler.

Fair enough, I’ll take it even if it’s just a little difference. Not sure that I want to go any further than that.

Then again, I also said that I was going to keep it stock! Mk2 Tiguan Tuning

If you are contemplating stage 2, which is basically bolting on a down pipe, the apr setup will remove the resonator......

The apr exhaust that attaches to the turbo will also replace the catalytic converter with a hi flow one and remove the resonator section with just a straight pipe. They will also flash your car to stage 2 ECU software which will give you a bit more power under the curve. The dsg sound is definitely more pronounced, however it isn’t like the deep throaty farts like a golf r or gti. You would need to consider changing the muffler, which we are yet to find an off the shelf solution.
