I found this video of an APR Stage 1 Tig vs Revo Stage 1 Tig, they don’t seem to be using launch control. Looks like the APR tuning is more aggressive down low.

I’ll post this here too. Stock run on the dyno last weekend:

I was actually quite surprised as my 155TSI Tig on the same dyno made 120kwaw stock and 144kwaw stage 1.

    Anyone recommend these guys?
Looks like they do Revo only, not APR flash

Revo is s reputable brand. Been around for a fair while. Only thing you want to check out is what hardware options they support (stage 2, turbo upgrades, etc). You want to choose a tuner with the end game in mind.

Make sure whoever you start with can work with you along the journey. Don’t want to have to change tuners mid-way through as you’ll likely have to pay twice.

    MY 18/19 Tiguan performance upgrades.

Hey anyone modified their 162’s at all?
I recently got a Stage 1 Flash tune (APR) on my 2018 Wolfsburg Tiguan. Bloody impressive, cost effective power gain. I got it done for $1000 on one of their discount days, never used APR before but after a lot of research decided to go with them. After I drove out and gave it a boot full I had to go back and thank them, it has transformed the car into a very surprising sleeper. Anyone else done a tune? If so how have you found it?

    Hi mate

I started with the stage 1 APR tune and then got the mod bug to do more, stage 1 is great bang for bucks! There are a few threads on the tuning topic, probably worth while to search for “tuning,” I have also created an IS38 and big turbo thread which is probably worth a skim read. There are around 5 of us who have done an IS38/ Golf R turbo swap on our Tigs in Aus, in my opinion it gives phenomenal power increase with literally no daily driving sacrifice interms of having a broad power band.

Interested to see Stage 1 apr vs revo dyno results. Revo claim 245kw at the fly which is very impressive! Had a chat with hills euro who are great btw and they have done a few already

Thanks Tiggy, appreciate the feedback. It’s been a while since I dabbled in cars worthy of tune, I can’t believe how far it’s come especially in the last few years. I will definitely be looking at stage two in the near future, the guys at APR definitely back up what you say in regards to the turbo upgrade slash stage 3. What sort of 0-100 times is your Tig at, and have you run it over the quarter?

That’s around the same increase that APR quote Cal, it’s pretty hard to argue based on the performance increase. 👍

If you guys are keen, I have access to a 4WD mainline dyno I'm able to hire after hours. It's located in Wetherill Park.

Would be good to translate engine kW claimed by these shops to real wheel kW output. And yes I'll setup derived torque too, so no sky high roller torque numbers 😉
