Picked up my Tig this morning, to recap, my list of mods include

    - IS38 Turbo upgrade
    - APR Turbo muffler delete
    - APR Turbo inlet pipe
    - ECS Silicone hose
    - BMC hiflow air filter
    - Airbox mod
    - APR dogbone
    - APR AWD Down Pipe

Each upgrade to date had an incremental performance increase with Stage 1 being the biggest until now......

Finding it hard to describe the difference with the IS38 and tune. To put it in a word 'WOW', car pulls REALLY hard now, roads are pretty greasy down in Melbourne today so being careful. Can't wipe the grin from my face, it's the go hard practical car I've always wanted

Love the fact it can still putt around in traffic, with my bike in the back or a boot full of groceries, you wouldn't even know it's had work done it whilst at cruising speed with the ACC on. Then stomp on the gas and it transforms..

No pops and bangs just yet, Melbourne_Tiggys was a special request from APR, just waiting on the file to be made available to my car so hopefully soon.

Congratulations mate! It is a true beast. There are now 2 is38 tigs (at least) creeping the streets of Melbourne!!! We must be the top Tig modification place in the world. Welcome to the IS38 club!

    Drive in drive out?
Is the 38 laggier? Or much the same but pulls a lot stronger

Don't believe so, mechanic mentioned the IS38 spools up quicker than the IS20. Pickup in 2, 3 & 4th is impressive to say the least!

Hard to say on cost as I did it bit by bit so there is some overlap in cost.

IS38 is not a cheap upgrade, was lucky enough to get a 2nd hand one from a wreck and it only cost $1500.

All up probably anywhere between $6-9k depending on the turbo cost, performance parts, tune and labour

    You went to peerless right?

Just saw your car on their Facebook feed with IS38. They claim 5.5k total cost for state 3??

Yeah that's mine. Reckon that's the cost of a new IS38 perhaps? My car was cheaper than that as the IS38 was second hand. If you're interested, check with them.

After a few days driving now.... I freaken love it, it's a beast, sports mode on the DSG is bonkers!

When you get a chance and it’s safe, try the launch control. It’s really quite a thrill. If you are driving casually in D it behaves normally, as soon as you put the pedal down....the beast unleashes. Very awesome for overtaking....even in D.....

I’ve found pops and bangs quite the novelty....when the engine is at operating temp, you can do a bit of a fly by and get some heads turning.

Only drove back from dyno home in peak heavy traffic and rain, Melbourne weather has been ****e today.

In sport can hear dsg farts now even with stock muffler, throatier sound all the way through the rev range so sound better overall. Will see how cold start and sounds once it beds in over the next few days. No time to do any sound clips or videos today, will see how I go during the week.

The dog mount insert has made everything feel a lot tighter. Stop/Start is very firm now and hard acceleration feels alot firmer, dont get that shunt in the driveline when coming off hard throttle...
How much boost is your stage two running?
