Yes stage 1 will tend to tail off, compared to stage 2 which will keep pulling like a train to redline. There's 25kwaw difference at redline and you'll certainly feel that.

I am running the APR downpipe and midpipe which removes the resonator and connects to the stock muffler. I’ve noticed with the past few cold days that there is certainly noticeable resonance upon start up, however after driving for a few minutes in D it settles down. It’s not unpleasant however, it does draw attention, and I think most people would not expected it from a Tig.

I would be interested in your review of the CTS DP after your install tomorrow. In particular, if your car is significantly louder on cold starts. Are you keeping the stock muffler on? Are you enabling “pops and bangs?”

I tried an aftermarket muffler and it sounded really bad. Pops and bangs already enabled in sport but cant hear much with stock downpipe.

I have “pops and bangs” enabled and it is definitely noticeable in S, if fact it reminds me of the GTIs and Rs that have it enabled, albeit a little more metallic sounding.

Just got back from tuning...Made 181.5kw@4 wheels, big difference from 5000rpm. Will post pics and other details shortly..

The subframe removal is not required when fitting the downpipe, just need to loosen to get get downpipe in and out.

On the red carpet, it is an old piece of carpet from the house I put in the garage so I don't slip when the floor is wet as grage floor is epoxy coated..

Sounds very similar to mine, powerwise, how does it sound, soundwise?

Only drove back from dyno home in peak heavy traffic and rain, Melbourne weather has been ****e today.

In sport can hear dsg farts now even with stock muffler, throatier sound all the way through the rev range so sound better overall. Will see how cold start and sounds once it beds in over the next few days. No time to do any sound clips or videos today, will see how I go during the week.

The dog mount insert has made everything feel a lot tighter. Stop/Start is very firm now and hard acceleration feels alot firmer, dont get that shunt in the driveline when coming off hard throttle...

Was a lot louder but a nice sound. Lots more induction and exhaust noise during hard acceleration, even in normal mode can hear the dsg farts now, cruising at 100km/hr same noise as stock system which I like.

Got an check engine light driving this morning which is caused by the O2 Sensor and new high flow CAT, coding fix will fix this which will get done tomorrow. From the picture of the dump front pipe hangers you can see the end of the hangers are close to the frame, it vibrates slightly at low rpm so getting that sorted on the weekend, other than that really happy with the stage 2.....

Discussed IS38 swap yesterday, supply (new), install, retune will be around 3.5k with the current mods I already have and will see somewhere near 230-240kw@4 wheels. With a larger than IS38 turbo will need intercooler, fuel pump, plugs, coils upgrade..
