    Hi @Melbourne,

Can you describe the differences? Does it actually feel a lot faster or no major difference. Thanks!

    Hi Tiggysaf,
It is a night and day difference to stock. The acceleration feels much more aggressive (albeit linear) and the car is far more alive, in terms of feeling more like a performance suv with power to match. The chassis in the r line feels so planted and stable, I feel like it could still handle even more power....I’d love to see more development on this platform in the community, hopefully someone will do a big turbo swap

The stock 162TSI is specified as having 0-100 acceleration time of 6.5sec.

To drop a full second to 5.5sec is very noticeable. That's getting quite rapid and heading towards stock Golf R times (manual does it in 5.2sec though the new 7 speed DSG does it in 4.8 ).

I reckon stage 2 Tiguan would level-peg a manual R and give the DSG a bit of a hurry along especially if you got the jump at the lights

    2017 Tiguan Sportline - Tigger73's 162TSI Sportline

    2016 Scirocco R, stage 1, 205kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's Scirocco R Build
    2013 Tiguan 155TSI, stage 1, 144kwaw (sold) - Tigger73's 155TSI Build
    2011 Tiguan 125TSI, Stage 2+, 152kwaw (sold)
    - Tigger73's 125TSI Build

I think this has made my mind up that I should be getting a stage 1 tune...

Hi Ozrod, at this stage I’m prob going to use my mod money for a TCU tune rather than a dyno run and save for a down pipe for apr stage 2. I will continue to use my dragy performance monitor to log the runs after each mod, to track relative performance changes.

Tigger73 you are a bad man....I have picked up the mod bug again and have been thinking about the next mod. Probably going to go the TCU tune which will allow an increase in launch control rpm, higher rpm for each gear, remove kick down and 20% faster shifts. What rpm do you think I should set for the revised launch - is 4500 to high?

Post tune it will feel like a new car, in particular S mode will be rather animal like. Note however, D mode will retain its crown as “Donkey” in that it continues to shift upwards to find the lowest rpm for a particular speed. I will be getting a TCU tune next to make it more performance orientated rather than fuel saving.

Well technically it's still a new car as I haven't even put 500km on it yet, these forums have made me consider doing it.. but your stats have pretty much confirmed that I should

Who’s doing your work and do you mind if I ask what you’ve paid for the tune etc..?
