Btw went to the park for an hour and came back to find a dent/ding on my door which is caused by the car next to me (judging from the angle of the driver door). Quite pissed off how some folks are not careful when opening their doors in the car park!!

Would this be an easy fix? DIY or via a paintless dent removalist?

Paintless dent repair but it's not going to be an easy one as it's right on a body line. Looks like it took quite a hit

I don’t think that’s a ding, so definitely a deep dent and looks tough to repair?

Jolv, same thing happened to me. Car was a week old and some nitwit left me a dent in the door. No where near as big as your hit though. It's infuriating.

Has anyone invented a force field for cars to prevent other careless idiots from denting our cars?

Similar think happened to me 6 mths ago, fortunately I had installed a dashcam (front and back), reviewed the footage and sent the details to the cops. Some lady in a new model Lexus admitted her 4 year old daughter opened and pushed the door with her foot smashing it into mine.

Moral of the story, $650 dashcam, saved me $1800 at the smash repairs (insurance job).

My force field is now parking as far away as possible from bulit up areas like shopping centers and walking a couple of hundred meters further, good for the heart and safer for the tiggy..

That’s a good idea with the cams. Only prob is the front and rear cameras don’t face the side of the car so it’s not captured?

I feel your pain and your's look much worse than mine but good thing it's repaired now. Like yourself, I got a dashcam (front) installed but didn't get the battery for parking mode which I now regret.

I'm going to see a few fixers to get a quote on mine.

Some suggest glue or suction approach might be a quick fix although doesn't sound like it'll fix it 100%.
