One of my favourite features is the ability to fold the front passenger seat flat (which is why the Tiguan doesn't come with electric adjustment).

It's handy for loading long lengths of timber…

Which forms part of the garage make-over…

And it's great for admiring your handy work, or being chauffeured around in:

And for an unrelated bonus, here are 5 identical 162 TSIs that were available to hoon through a slalom at Phillip Island:

    Cool pictures!
I Do have the fully electric seats, you choose not to take them or is the option not available?

The driver's seat is electric, but the passenger seat is manual. I prefer it this way because manual adjustment is faster and you don't really need to remember the passenger seat position. While 'm not normally a fan of the lever based seat-back adjustment, it does make folding the front seat flat a lot easier.

Congrats. But I have to say Castle Hill VW is the worst car dealer I've ever come across. Mean, greedy and very rude.

To be honest I didn't have any direct dealings with them until I picked it up, but the people I spoke to there were all pleasant.
I used a broker to track down the vehicle I wanted, in the timeframe I needed. The broker did all the liaison and was very proactive in communicating. They delivered exactly on time as promised.
Quite frankly I was in a hurry to get into an SUV after a permanent hip injury - climbing into a sedan was killing me. I didn't care if it was transported from Perth at my cost. I did pay about $1500 more than I was offered from another dealership, but received the exact vehicle I wanted within 6 weeks of ordering instead of January 2018.

If you want to talk about mean, greedy and rude, I went into VW Alto in St Leonards and nearly belted the bloke that I was talking to. It was a bit of a 'Pretty Woman moment'... Was my first visit to a dealership after researching Tiguan online. He basically wanted to know if I could afford the car before letting me test drive, and was so blunt and rude about it that I nearly walked into Mazda next door to drop a $30K deposit on a CX-5 Akera out of spite.
The missus was looking at a Jetta for herself and we could easily have placed orders for two cars with him.

In my opinion it's hard to find a decent dealer. They all want to make a big sale as quick as possible.
It took me a couple of cars and dealers to find the right sales person. He takes enough time with me to look at all the options possible and listens to my story and searches for the options within my price range. He's also doing is best to arrange cars for me to test drive even if he needs to call up another dealership.
That's why my last 3 cars are all ordered through him, i'm happy, he's happy.

PS. You all have the 3 silver linings in the front grill, in The Netherlands you only get 3 when I order the most expensive headlights including auto cornering function. I only get 2 linings because I ordered the full Rline LED without the cornering function. (The low placed led lights do corner but just not the headlights themselve) I believe you have these 3 linings without the cornering headlights?

You can order an after market chrome trim for the centre bar of the grille on Alibaba refit front hood billet grille grill mesth horizontal sticker style FOR VW TIGUAN mk2 Europe version 2016 2017 2018

Not sure about the cornering headlights - I thought the LED headlights which come with the AU Highline and R-Line variants were top of the range... someone else might be able to answer that one.

Good one, thanks for the post! Have ordered the white version of same though am many months away from receipt.
The r-line tempts a lot here, I prefer the cleaner uncluttered look.
