You dont say which engine as prices for 132 and a 162 are rather different I sold a MY19 162 with 43,000 on it last year for $44,000 as an indication. Went like s***** off a shovel. Dont know what the 132would be like
Hi all, I'm currently in the market for a second hand Tiguan, 2018 model onwards with R-line package.
Based in Sydney and looking down the pathways of private seller. Budget is around 30k and was wondering is there anything to keep in mind during inspection and price negotiation? Or is it worth paying a bit more to buy from a dealer?
Owned a MK5 2007 golf Tdi and it has given me lots of grief recently with manifold and fuel lines clogging, AC breakdown and electrical malfunctioning etc.
Any advice would be much appreciated and helpful in buying process.
Thank you

Thoughts on this
Could be ok but check what it had been towing but if only one occupant probably not a van. Also check service records and water pump for leaks. 18 also has the Mk1 AID (Dash readout) which is more adaptable if you want to do some electronic mods (mine had over 30 improvements) They are great to drive, I regret having to sell mine.
