    Locking doors on Tiguan

Is it normal to be able to lock car if some one hasn't closed one of the other doors properly.
I realise it will show door is not properly closed on dash display but if driver gets out first it isn't noticeable.
I think mirror indicator may not flash but that is hard to see if you are not standing in front of the car.
My wife's Swift Sport will not lock and gives a audio warning in the same scenario so was wondering if there was something
in settings I need to change. Thanks for any info given.

Just close the doors properly in the first place. Never need to worry then!
