Hi all,
I did search but couldn’t find anything here. I recently purchased an iPhone 11 Pro running the latest OS. Whenever connecting to Bluetooth and consequently disconnecting when I leave the car (MY19 highline) the ringer volume is reset to the highest possible amount. If you forget to turn it down and go to bed your alarm scares the absolute jeebee’s out of you in the morning.
First world problem but it’s kind of annoying having to turn it down manually when leaving the car.
I assume there are others out there experiencing this?
Has anyone managed to figure out a way to stop it?
Android (pixel 3) did not have this issue.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I gave this a try. Removed the phone from the phone list in the car and also removed the VW unit from the phone in the iPhone settings. Re-paired the phone and the issue still persists.

I think it’s an iOS 13.x issue. I’m seeing (well, hearing, actually) the same thing. My previous iPhone X was fine until I updated it to iOS 13, and the iPhone 11 I’ve had for two weeks, which came with iOS 13, is the same.
The problem is evident in both our family’s cars: 2017 Tiguan and 2017 Golf.

How about trying manually lowering the ringer volume while your phone is connected to Bluetooth? Usually the phone has a stored ‘memory’ of volume settings when it pairs/connects to various devices.
Yea, was the first thing I tried. When the phone connects you can see the ringer prompt go to max volume. You can lower it manually but after a few seconds the prompt comes up again and shows max volume.
