When a car is hooked up to the VW computer system it is automatically connected to VW Germany, that is what I am told. You would have to be very naive if you thought they did that for anything but data harvesting and putting my tin hat on perhaps building a file on individual cars. Using personalised keys could get it down to the driver but that is really tin hat stuff in capital letters.

Just set it at the furthest distance away from the front car, I find that leaves a very comfortable (and safe) gap.

Wont work up here as will have 2 cars pushing in if you leave that much gap It only happens when you get slow pokes and move up to give them the message that it occurs so the distance doesnt matter if you stick to it

Hmm tough one ... I don’t drive peak hours much and find it works ok for speed limits of 90 and above. Not too many cut ins
