Initial feedback is that the intercooler hasn’t effected the low end performance at all and bum dyno says it’s quicker at the top end.
I’ll get it on the road on the weekend (hopefully get a coolish morning) and run some 0-100’s. I suspect it may be in the 5’s now... and only with hardware mods.

Yes I was concerned that the larger volume would cause a delay in boost coming on but seems no real difference. Certainly not noticeable when driving.
The top end is definitely freer and feels like it wants to go now / run a lot more freely at higher rpms.
I sourced this from the local distributor (Performance Brands Group) but it was shipped direct from Germany.

Well as I originally suspected putting a significantly larger intercooler on actually has had a negative impact on performance. Not a lot but a little bit.
Ran a 0-100 this morning and was 6.14s or 0.1s worse than before.
This was actually what I thought was going to happen with a larger volume intercooler to fill.
It doesn’t concern me that much as I know the stock intercooler is going to be too restrictive at higher flows once the new turbo is fitted and the car is tuned.

I went out earlier in the morning and it was 23-24degC so I don't think it was ambient temps related. Temps were similar to the previous runs within a few degrees so I don't think that was a major factor.
It's funny the top end feels better but is actually a little slower. I'm not surprised as this was actually the result that I was expecting. I'm actually happy that it's not a significant effect given that I'll likely be driving around for another month or 2 like this.
Probably helped the other day when it was 41degC but I don't ever push it if i don't need to when it's that hot.

You will only see an advantage with the bigger cooler and stock turbo if you got a remap.
With stock everything you will have less heat soak now especially if you were driving around in Melbourne over the weekend.
