How are you finding the noise with the stock muffler reattached?

Jealous of the mods and tune pal. Looks the goods. Do we know why the tig is so much more quiet than say an R or GTI? Is it just muffler only? or a combination of things. Wondered if we’d be able to somehow adapt say a std gti or r muffler to the tig just to give it abit more noise without it being too much. If my tig made as much noise as the standard r and gti’s that I hear I’d prolly be happy I reckon
Or does the dsg fart noises predominately need to be enabled via a tune
    Just curious

As the pics of the exhaust show it's a very simple system. Resonator delete makes no difference to the noise so it's all in the rear muffler. GTI/R muffler will be a different design and has the flapper valve which opens up at high rpm, tig muffler does not have this.

I was thinking about putting on a MK7 R muffler but not sure how the flapper valve would operate. Don't want to leave it open all the time as would drone st low rpm.

Stock tune and exhaust you can hear a slight dsg farts at full throttle in sport I noticed.

I agree I can hear mild noises on WOT and in sport mode on a quick shift, nothing like a gti or r though.
The flap sounds annoying, probably can get all the parts easy enough, soleoind, loom, plugs but getting it into the ecu loom and programmed in would be a miracle, generally unless the provision is already say there (a plug with a cap in it and all we need is the loom to the switch, and to program it in) then I wouldn’t think it’s that doable.

A Varex muffler or similar with bluetooth is the easier option. Downpipe should add some more noise and more darts pops and crackles. CTS downpipe come back in stock next week

Managed to do some 0-100 runs in a new housing estate. There was some gravel and dirt on the road so got some wheel spin in both runs..

Run 1 with DSG in sport everything else in normal

Run 2 everything in sport, DSG short shifted into 2nd because of wheel spin in 1st.

Quicker times to get on a cleaner road as wheel spin in both runs.

I also removed the snow guard from the intake today. Will see if there is any noise increase when I go for a drive later.
