Always the way, more searching and found the answer, the dial issue relates to the 2D and 3D maps, will give that a go

Just push the center button on the right side of the steering wheel to toggle between big and little dials.

Tried the 2D setting, made no difference to the dial size choice.

Same as above, just make sure the map is in your AID then press the centre button (OK) and it will toggle large/small map display adjusting dial sizes on the fly. Or even press down button on right side of steering wheel to display available options.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but perhaps the MY20 misses out on this function. Pressing OK toggles between the map in centre of two dials, full screen map, and map in centre of consumption info.
On a brighter note, I managed to get back to the dealer 15 minutes before the techs knocked off, software was up to date, no faults logged, so they re-installed the software, and I now have a fuel gauge.

    Good afternoon all.

    New to the forum.

Didn't want to start a new thread, so I thought this was the most appropriate area. Is the new Tiguan Allspace scheduled for any mid cycle facelift for 2020 or new added features etc? I'm hoping to buy ours in July this year.

    Thanks in advance.

There will be a facelift. Usually this would come 4 years into the model cycle, however given all the disruptions at VW it may get pushed out a bit. I'd guess it will be later in 2020 or maybe 2021. There's already quite a few "artist impression" pictures of it running around but expect the front end to look halfway between the Touareg and the T-Roc.

It's a facelift only so the major things like driveline and dimensions stay the same - just a refresh of the front and back bumpers with lights and styling. Same car underneath. But closer to the time you'll be able to pick up the "old" shape cheaper as dealers look to clear stock for the update.

Thanks for the reply. I need a car by about mid year. Existing lease is expiring in July. Really like these Tiguan Allspace SUV’s.

I would expect the update to happen first on the Tiguan and then Allspace follow around 6-12 months later. Allspace gets built in Mexico and this model has only been out ~3 years.
