I signed a contract for the 162tsi last week but there's no VIN and delivery date in the contract. Is this normal?
The dealer advised that the car is currently on the ship and delivery should be around May/June.
If the car is already on its way to Australia, the dealer should have the VIN number ready, correct?
Hi all, I’m on day 7 of having my Tiguan and am still giddy. It’s certainly settling in nicely (300kms). Some minor nuances but all in all it’s been worth the wait.
Now that I’m past the no wash stage after getting ceramic paint protection, does any have a recommendation for a Melbourne based detailer/car wash that is decent? Don’t want to undo the paint work with some shopping Centre job...
Thanks so much

Had an issue with my 7 day old Tiguan Rline yesterday afternoon.
Got in hot car after work to drive home and the air conditioning didn't work.
Felt like the heater was on as the air coming out of the vents was hotter than the 35C outside. After much fiddling I had to turn off the A/C and drive home with all the windows down.
I was not happy.
Got up this morning early to drive to local VW service centre and everything working fine.
Going on long trip next weekend and will be very upset of A/C goes on the blink during trip.

There are a few and it depends on what you want and how much you want to spend. I've had a few friends go to Mr Detail in Moorabbin to get a Gyeon quartz finish and are happy. Kachingg on here is very happy with his Pomponazzi finish which is a more expensive process but lasts longer. Others are happy with Opticoat which seems to be about the same price as the Gyeon.

For anyone who has experienced a noticeable hum from their wheels, after much diagnosis my dealer found out the problem was the tires themselves, apparently Continental sent out a dodgy batch which impacted a least a handful of Australian Tiguans. A replacement set was provided and that fixed the problem.
Air conditioning stopped working again and took it in to local dealer/service center.
As car was not bought from them they were not that helpful, and said they were booked up for several weeks. Eventually had a look and confirmed that it was not working and it had logged a fault.
Took it in again this morning and had to fight the same battle again.
Car is now just over a week old.
Not a good advertisement for VW reliability, though my old golf gti has not had a problem in 10 years.
