I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Hey all. So I haven't received my "built" email yet but I did a check of the VW link this morning and when the website loads up it shows up as "ready to roll" - so the car is finally built if that is to be trusted. I placed my order early February.

Yeah quite of a few of us have got their built confirmation in the last week so it sounds like we are all 'in the same boat'. Sorry for the bad joke haha. But, yeah I expect we will be able to get the VIN at some stage this week and be on the water in a couple of weeks time. Early November pickup is looking most likely.

I got an update from my dealer. Car scheduled to leave port in Germany on 13/09/17. Arriving at port of destination on 25/10/17. Also got my VIN.

Thats good news. You can keep track of the boat and make sure that it is not highjacked by pirates. Paying the ranson just increases the costs

Still no sign from my dealer yet. The car is in The Netherlands at the central stock location but there are delivery problems on the Connect Box is what i'm told. They place this connect box just before going to the local dealership and this delays my current delivery.
It's been a full week now and my dealership is hoping to get the delivery this week but doesn't promise me anything.

(Don't know if you guy's have the connect box but it's a box that let's you connect the car to an App on your phone and read al kinds of info from it and lock it from distance etc.)

No carnet or SIM card slot here... we don't even get traffic data because someone is too cheap to pay the royalty.
I can connect a VW 'Media Control' app to the car's wifi hotspot, and control the infotainment system, but no remote info, and only connected to LAN, no internet.

...just out of interest, in the VW emails (ordered/built etc) is the picture shown a generic highline no matter what you optioned it with? Ordered mine with the R-line pack but have bog standard pic of the 162. As someone else earlier on this thread received their tiggy without the DAP when it was finally delivered, it makes me nervous that perhaps it hasn't been processed with the R-line paclk. Call me paranoid, but I'm not waiting 8 months to receive the biggest let-down of the century...

I think it's generic mate so don't stress. I ordered a 162tsi with the lot and I got the stock standard tiguan picture on the email too. Now my personal home page doesn't even work..
