It's annoying knowing the car is built and not going anywhere.
Heres my conspiracy theory on why there was a delay (tin foil hats optional), the Golf 7.5 lands first week of a July and they took priority over our Tigs and hence the delay as VWA were fillīng the available ships with the new golf for the showrooms.

Finally my car is on a boat, VIN showed up this morning on the "Morning Celesta" due into Melbourne on the 15/7. Hopefully others waiting will also be on it.

Yep, was a general hold up, spoke with the dealership yesterday for an update and they had 50 or so cars in the same situation. They weren't sure why it happened.
