I have ordered/received my New Tiguan

Hm, the rim was sent to a specialist in Auckland (New Zealand). At first the quoted price was NZ$500.00.
The price for a new 20" Suzuka rim is.... wait for it..... twothousandeighthundred NZ dollars...
So I said, well if I take it to my insurer I'll pay a little more than $500.00 (actually $700.00)... and get a new rim.
He gave in, and now it's $345.00

The 20" Suzuka rim is quite a complicated one. You might want to have a close look, the flat aluminium surface is not smooth but is "turned", with a transparent layer of lacquer on top of it. And then there's the painted parts, but they were untouched.

In the meantime the ABS system has given a strange warning while it was at the dealer, but couldn't find a fault in the system.
They've installed an extra USB cable at the top of the windshield, for the dash cam.

I'm collecting the car tomorrow...

Who installed a USB cable at the top of the windshield? That's what I want to do for the same reason.

A local car electronics specialist that AUDI/VW said they always refer to. The important thing to keep in mind here; the car electronics that are used for the windshield camera are also in that same spot. If they are messed with, your safety systems may not work (emergency braking).

Hi all you Tiguan buyers that have been told your Tiguan is on the TALISMAN.

Just a little heads-up.
It is scheduled to dock in Port Kembla 6:00 pm this afternoon.

That is 3 days ahead oh its original scheduled date.

Yeah, that's why I want to make sure it's installed properly and by someone who VW recommend.

Had a chat to one of my neighbours who works for Patricks (the guys who unload the cars from the ship and get it ready for delivery to the dealerships) and according to him, once a ship docks and the cars are unloaded they sit on the wharf for a few days for quarantine purposes. Once they have been cleared they will then be loaded onto a truck to get processed (accessories get installed, stamps, stickers...) at their depot in Laverton (Melbourne). This process can take a few days and priority is given to cars that have been sold by the dealerships. They would normally get process at the wharf but they do not have the space for it at the moment so this might add a few days to delivery for people waiting in Melbourne.

Hello everyone! Picked up my wife's 162TSI with the lot last Saturday. Ordered at the start of Oct. This is my second MQB car and it drives and looks great. I'm thinking of actually swapping my R with her. So much more comfortable and quiet too!
